History Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 - $5,000 Per Year
Eligibility: High School Seniors and Transfer Students
Application available: August 1

Last day to interview (in person or online): December 15
Students who have applied to ϳԹallas with an interest in studying History may compete for the award.
Students are not necessarily required to major in History to receive or maintain the scholarship. Departmental scholarships are applied to tuition. A departmental scholarship may not be added on top of a full-tuition scholarship. Each student may apply for up to two departmental scholarship awards but may only receive one. To Apply for the History Departmental Scholarship, you must:

- Complete the and submit at least two weeks prior to your campus visit and interview. Attach any supplemental material to the online application OR email to admissions@udallas.edu.
- Submit a short essay (500-600 words) that addresses the following question:
"After reviewing the course descriptions for & and & , write an essay that discusses why historical knowledge is necessary to a liberal arts education.” - Submit the from your high school or college professor.
- Submit a 1-page CV including student activities and academics.
- Once you have completed your you will be instructed on how to schedule an interview with the History Department.
Renewability Criteria:
The is renewable annually for four consecutive school years, dependent upon the student's academic performance and the criteria stated below:
- Fulfill general scholarship renewal criteria.
- Complete one new History course per semester.
- Meet with the History Advisor each semester for approval of your course schedule until you have achieved the minimum course completion requirement.
