Mandy Stigant

Began her studies in ceramics as a post-baccalaureate student at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. In 2006 she began her graduate studies there, completing an MA in 2008. Mandy recently worked as an Artist in Residence at the Cub Creek Foundation in Appomattox, VA.

Some days I still wish I had become a studio major, but then again Art History has served me well. Each and every day, I think about all the classes studying the great artists of the past while creating new work for a modern time. The ability to think, to write and to create are invaluable tools to have. My friends from college have gone on to become some great clients and mentors. My old professors continue to inspire me to never stop learning and being curious.
